MBA is now accepting applications for its first annual juried show, ‘Dawning of a New Day: Perspectives on Black America,’ opening May 1st, 2009 in Washington DC’s Gallery district. ‘Dawning’ revolves around the myriad challenges and triumphs within Black America as the nation begins its first year under its first black President. MBA does not seek a single representation or interpretation of the theme, but encourages innovation and diversity in order to reflect a comprehensive spectrum of views and opinions.

While we do expect to receive and show a small number of works on the President, this exhibition is not about President Barack Obama in particular.
