An Artist’s Guide to Surviving When Art Isn’t Paying the BillsPART 1 _This is How I Make It: Artist Round Table Discussion:
This intimate brainstorming session will welcome a small audience of 15-20 people to join 10 Artists as they get together to facilitate a discussion on how they are “making it” in this challenging economy everything from odd jobs to healthcare, blogging, freelance work, and social services for artists.

PART 2_Stay Healthy Enough To Create: A panel discussion
Focused on the health and well being of emerging artists, including housing, health insurance, and the availability of studio space and workspace residencies, this panel will include a New York City Social Worker, representatives from noted Artist services organizations such as Fractured Atlas, and others. These prime resources will be assembled in one place to allow artists to take full advantage.

PART 3_ Financial Freedom, Funding & Legalese: An Interactive Workshop & Presentation
Focused on strengthening artists wallets and financial decision making, this workshop will highlight and distinguish between funding, fiscal sponsorship, grant writing, and entrepreneurial options for artists through presentations by Project Enterprise and a representative from a Re-grant institution and the a lawyer on hand to address any legalities this will be powerful interactive session for artists will present a new sense of financial literacy.
